A Legacy of Nature

With their gift to the Natural Reserve System, Tom and Ginny Cahill found a way to protect the land they love and support science.

Two hundred spectacular acres of creekside and oak woodland habitat, along with an endowment to ensure responsible stewardship into the future, are the latest additions to the portfolio of the UC Davis Natural Reserve System.  The land will serve as a research and teaching preserve, a quiet complement nearby Cold Canyon, with its steady stream of hikers.
